Amaryllis ‘Sweet Lilian’

Hippeastrum ‘Sweet Lilian’ is a bulbous plant hailing from Central and South America which, in frost-prone climates such as ours, tends to be grown as a house or warm conservatory plant. Water freely during the growing period, stopping as this comes to an end to give bulbs the dry dormancy it requires. The foliage very helpfully dies back to signal when this time has come (usually in late summer). Resume watering in mid to late autumn to trigger the bulb back into growth.
